Population 10 speakers out of 800 in the ethnic group (1982 SIL), The 1990 census reports 81 speakers. 
Region Northeastern California.

Classification Hokan, Northern, Karok-Shasta, Shasta-Palaihninan, Palaihninan.
Comments Originally there were nine dialects. All are elderly. Nearly extinct.
