Population 1,500 (1987 SIL). 
Region 9 villages (900 speakers) on Middle Karawari and Wagupmeri rivers. Another dialect has 4 villages (400 speakers) near Kuvanmas Lake. East Sepik Province, Angoram District.
Dialects KUVENMAS, KARAWARI.
Classification Sepik-Ramu, Sepik, Sepik Hill, Alamblak.
Comments Karawari is distinct from Karawari in the Pondo branch. Grammar. Literacy rate in first language: 15% to 25%. Literacy rate in second language: 15% to 25%. Traditional religion, Christian. Bible portions 1974-1998.
