Region North Oaxaca, Cuic: San Pedro Sochiapan, Retumbadeo, San Juan Zautla, Santiago Quetzalapa, San Juan Zapotitlán.

Comments 66% intelligibility of Tlacoatzintepec (closest), 56% of Chiltepec, 45% of Usila, 11% of Tepetotutla. Bilingual level estimates for Spanish are 0 15%, 1 15%, 2 30%, 3 30%, 4 9%, 5 1%. VSO, tonal, short words, affixes, clitics. Tropical forest. Mountain slope. Swidden agriculturalists. 800 to 2,000 meters. NT 1986.
