Population 3,000 possibly (1987 SIL). 
Region Near the mouth of the Tana River, Lamu and Tana River districts, Coast Province.
Alternate names   SANYE, GUO GARIMANI
Classification Afro-Asiatic, Cushitic, South.
Comments The language has clicks, although unrelated to Khoisan languages. Highly assimilated and bilingual in Swahili. Different from Sanye (Waata). The name 'Dahalo' is derogatory. Traditional religion.
