Region Chayu (Zayü) County on the tablelands on either side of the lower reaches of the Chayu (Zayü) River in the southeastern corner of Tibet. Also spoken in India, Myanmar.
Classification Sino-Tibetan, Tibeto-Burman, North Assam, Deng.
Comments 'Kuman' may be an alternate name. EDCL calls it a separate language from Darang Deng. Some believe them to be in the Jingpo branch. May be in the Tibetan official nationality in China. SOV; 4 tones which are reported to have a low functional load.
