Classification Deaf sign language.
Comments It is manually coded Bahasa Malaysia; it is easier than manual codes for other languages because Bahasa Malaysia is comparatively noninflected. It has input from local and American signs and structure. Under development by the Ministry of Education since 1978, and used in government programs. Words without signs are fingerspelled using the international version of the American manual alphabet.
