Population  20. Of the 20 speakers, 15 are in Potapovo. Ethnic population: 198 with Tundra Enets (2002 census).
Region  Taimyr National Okrug; along Yenisei River’s lower course, upstream from Dudinka. The Forest variety is in Dudinka region, Potapovo settlement.

Dialects  Forest and Tundra Enets [enh] barely mutually intelligible. Transitional between Nenets [yrk] and Nganasan [nio]. Formerly officially considered part of Nenets.

Language use  Few domains. Mainly older adults. Neutral attitude. All are bilingual or trilingual.
