Region  North central, north of Lake Petén Itzá in San José Petén, 15 minutes by auto from Flores. No remaining speakers in Belize.

Language use  The ethnic group retains indigenous identity. 60 bilingual non-fluent speakers (1991 A. Hofling). The ethnic group in Belize now speaks Spanish [spa]. Older adults.
