Region  Mizoram, mainly Aizawl District, scattered in Lunglei and Chhimtuipui districts; Manipur; Tripura, a few in Jampui Hills.
Language use  Also use Mizo [lus].
Language development  Though literacy is high, formal education level is low (in Tripura).
Comments  A Scheduled Tribe. A subgroup of the Mizo [lus]. Spoken only in villages of northern Mizoram (Singh 1995). Agriculturalists. Christian.
