Task 29. Changing a Wordform spelling
Learning objective
You will learn to make three main types of spelling changes. For Multiple morph Wordforms, you must use Change Transcription. For single morph Wordforms, you may use any type.
- Correct Typo changes single morph Wordforms everywhere in every text, and changes the Wordform inventory.
- Change Transcription allows to choose which text occurrences to change, but leaves the old Wordform in the Wordform inventory.
- Change Baseform also changes LDB Baseform (only available for single morphs with LDB entries.)
Tip: Edit…Undo should reverse one spelling change.
Caution: Do not change spelling in the Analysis Editor because that only changes the Wordform Inventory, but not the text.
