Enga Province, eastern 2 thirds; East Sepik Province, Angoram district; Western Highlands Province, Mul-Baiyer Station district, Baiyer LLG; Southern Highlands Province, small border area near Winja.

Dialects

Kaina, Kandepe, Kapona, Laiagam, Lapalama 1, Lapalama 2, Layapo, Mae (Mai, Wabag), Maramuni (Malamuni), Sari, Sau (Sau Enga, Wapi), Tayato, Yandapo. Mae is standard dialect; all understand it. Layapo is between Mae and Kyaka [kyc].
