Your website says "Dialects: None known". Where as Indian books, texts, authors uses qualifies many regional dialects as dialects of Hindi Braj, Awadhi, Khari Boli, Chhattisgarhi, Bhojpuri Surgujia etc and all uses single scripts Devanagari. All new and old texts by authors like Tulsi, Premchand, Mira in Awadhi, Braj etc are considered Hindi texts. Confusing Hindi with Hindustani

Hindi as reported by the 2001 Census of India is spoken by 422 million. http://www.censusindia.gov.in/%28S%282scoev45b4mhlg45mz5jq345%29%29/Cens... Modern Standard Hindi is just Indian Hindustani and is spoken by a small fraction of the total Hindi speakers.

Your website is misquoting 2001 Census data. As per 2001 Census there are 422 Millions (422,048,642) speakers of Hindi languages. http://www.censusindia.gov.in/Census_Data_2001/Census_Data_Online/Langua... Please correct the information which is already 15 years old.

L2 speakers population for Hindi is wrong. Please look into the official data of Indian government. Censusindia.gov.in. is the official website for population data. This data is for india region only. You can use other sources for rest of the world data.
