Nikyob (Kaningkom, Kaningkwom, Kaninkon, Ninkyob, Ninkyop), Nindem (Inidem, Nidem). Nikyob and Nindem are closely related and mutually intelligible. Two varieties of Nikyob are Nikpechio (Kpechio) and Nituran (Turan); there are only slight differences between them (2014 SIL).

Language Use

Home, market, work, community. All ages. Positive attitudes. Most also use Hausa [hau]. Some also use Nigerian Pidgin [pcm].

Other Comments

Kaningkom is the Hausa name for Nikyob. Christian.
