Intelligibility test showed Marlasi dialect intelligible of Kompane [kvp]. Lexical similarity: 77% with Kompane [kvp], 70% with Ujir [udj].

Language Use

Vigorous. Outsiders want to learn it. Home, garden. All ages. Positive attitudes. Almost all also use Dobo Malay, a dialect of Ambon Malay [abs].
