Nominative-accusative, head marking. Conservative in phonology, morphology, and lexicon, reflecting many of the attributes posited for Proto Oceanic. Extensive derivational morphology and serial verb constructions

Southern dialect used only by a few elderly people. Home, gardens, market. All ages.
