(See immed. prev. feedback for this page.) After submitting the previous feedback, I looked again at the snippet. It ends with "The population figures given here are for Peninuslar Malaysia ..." (BTW, note the misspelling of "Peninsular"). So I scrolled down the page, and under "Also spoken in" I saw "Malaysia"; clicked on that, and THERE'S the mention of Hokkien that appeared in the search snippet. So the feedback now becomes: Please enhance your search mechanism so that if a hit requires expanding/opening a part of the page to display it, that part WILL BE OPENED BY THE SEARCH INTERFACE WHEN THE USER CLICKS ON THE HIT ON THE SEARCH RESULTS PAGE.
The misspelled word has been corrected on the website. We will look at what can be done with the search function to make it easier to find items that are not in the principal country.
I went to the home page, registered, and used the Search field to find Hokkien. The top hit was "Chinese, Min Nan" (https://www.ethnologue.com/language/nan), with the following snippet: ... Minnan Dialects Taiwanese (Amoy, Chaenzo, *Hokkien*, Sanso). Status 3 (Wider communication). De facto ... (2000). 497,000 Teochew, 141,000 Hainanese, 2,020,000 *Hokkien* (2000). The population figures given here are for Peninuslar Malaysia ... I clicked on that and searched the page for "Hokkien". It isn't there, nowhere, no way, nohow.
