Dialects

Ouedghir (Wadi), Tariyit, Temacin. Only moderate comprehension of Tumzabt. Tariyit dialect is spoken by the Haratine (former slaves of the Ouargli people).

Language Use

Some parents choose to speak Algerian Spoken Arabic [arq] with their children to give them a good start in their education. However, other children speak Tagargrent in the streets with their families. Positive attitudes. Also use Arabic [ara].
