Maluku Province, western Seram island, Hoamoal peninsula, Luhu village. Boano and Kelang islands, west of Seram island.

Dialects

Batu Merah, Kelang, Luhu. Related to Manipa [mqp]. Lexical similarity: 72% with Luhu dialect, 71%–73% with Asilulu [asl].

Language Use

Vigorous. Batu Merah dialect spoken on Ambon Island has few remaining speakers. All also use Ambonese Malay [abs].
