Southwest, mainly Fars Province; Bushehr, Esfahan, Chahar Mahall va Bakhtiari, and Hormozgan provinces; some possible in Kohgiluyeh va Buyer Ahmad Province; Shiraz, Gachsaran, and Firuzabad are centers.

Language Status

6a (Vigorous).

None known. Reportedly similar to Azerbaijani [azb].

Vigorous. Home, commerce. All ages. Also use Iranian Persian [pes], Southern Luri [luz]. Used as L2 by Domari [rmt].

Many can read Farsi well.
