2 (Krauss 1997). One semi-fluent speaker and one elderly deaf speaker in 2001 (Golla 2007). Ethnic population: 400 possibly (Krauss 1997).

Location

South Yukon, west or west-northwest of the Tlingit; some at Carcross.

Language Use

There is some community interest in relearning the language. Also use Tlingit [tli] and English [eng] as L2.
