Task 37. Working with the Example Sentence corpus
Learning objective
You will learn to make Example Sentences that are automatically stored as segments in the Example Sentences corpus. You can edit the Example Sentences corpus, and even prepare them for analysis like a text.
Preparation
Close all windows except Workshop Explorer.
Opening Example Sentences corpus
1.In Workshops, go to Linguistics and click Lexicon.
2. Go to Data and double-click [Language Name] Example Sentences.
Analyzing Example Sentences corpus sentences
1. Click beside a ¶ to select the sentence you want to analyze.
2. On the menu, click Tools…Prepare for Analysis.
3. Add the desired analysis.
Deleting blank segments from the corpus
1. Scroll through the window to find blank segments.
2. Click beside a ¶ to highlight the segment.
3. On the keyboard, press Delete.
Printing the Example Sentences corpus
1. On the menu, click File…Print, and click OK.
2. Close the Example Sentences window.
Tip: The width of your window determines the width of the printed document.
