Population  7,000 (2001 SIL).
Region  North West Province, Donga-Mantung Division, Misaje Subdivision, both sides of Ring Road between Misaje and Nkambe. 3 villages: Mbissa, Kamine, and Akweto.

Alternate names   Akweto, Nsari, Pesaa, Sali
Dialects  Member of the Eastern Beboid subgroup. Lexical similarity: 84% with Ncane [ncr].
Classification  Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Beboid, Eastern
Language use  Positive attitude. Some also use Ncane, Cameroon Pidgin [wes], or English.
Language development  Literacy rate in L1: 0%. Published alphabet 2007. Literacy program to provisionally start in 2008.
