Population  10,000 (Dieu and Renaud 1983).
Region  North West Province, Mezam Division, Tuba Subdivision, along Ring Road, east of Bamenda, Bambili, and Bambui villages.

Alternate names   Bambili
Dialects  Bambili (Mbili, Mbele, Mbogoe), Bambui (Mbui). Mutual inherent intelligibility is low with Mendankwe-Nkwen [mfd].
Classification  Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Wide Grassfields, Narrow Grassfields, Mbam-Nkam, Ngemba
Language development  Literacy rate in L2: 15%–25%. Grammar.
Comments  They associate more with Bafut than with Nkwen and Mendankwe-Nkwen.
