Region  Santa Isabel Island, southeast end from Suma to Horara; Furona Island off Kia District northwest coast.

Dialects  Hageulu, Vulava. Similar to Gela [nlg] and Gao [gga]. Related to vernaculars on Guadalcanal.

Language use  Trade language. Home, village, church. Different from other languages of Santa Isabel. Except for Gao, other Santa Isabel Language speakers cannot communicate with Bughotu except through Pijin [pis].
