Region  Southeast Guizhou Province, Liping County; southwest Hunan Province, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County; northeast Guangxi, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, near South Dong, small villages.

Alternate names   Grass Miao, Mjiuniang, Sanjiang Miao
Dialects  Similar to Northern Dong [doc] and sometimes referred to as a special dialect of Dong.
Classification  Tai-Kadai, Kam-Tai, Kam-Sui
Language use  Daily communication. Also use Mandarin Chinese [cmn].
Comments  Classified as Miao nationality. Chinese used in singing. Tonal, 6 tones. Traditional religion.
