Population  1,500 (2003).
Region  Koshi zone, Lower Arun region, Dhankuta District, Chhintang Panchayat, Sambhung and Pokhare, and Ankhisalla Panchayat, Dandagaon.

Alternate names   Chhintang, Chintang, Chintang RĂ»ng, Teli
Dialects  Probably not intelligible with Bantawa [bap], although sometimes considered a dialect of it because of ethnic similarities.
Classification  Sino-Tibetan, Tibeto-Burman, Himalayish, Mahakiranti, Kiranti, Eastern
Language use  The ethnic group has largely shifted to Bantawa [bap] or Nepali [nep] (Bradley 1996); There may be more vitality than formerly supposed (Toba, Toba and Rai 2005).
