Population  6,000 (1983 census).
Region  Equateur Province, Sud Ubangi, Kungu Territory, Mwanda Collectivité, between Ngiri and Mwanda rivers in swamp lands: Lokay, Molunga, Maboko, and Moliba villages.

Dialects  Lokay, Molunga, Maboko, Moliba. Comprehension of Lifunga dialect of Bamwe [bmg] is very high. Lexical similarity: 6% with Lifunga dialect of Bamwe.
Classification  Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Narrow Bantu, Northwest, C, Bangi-Ntomba (C.40)
Language use  Most also use Lingala [lin], except the oldest women. Other women speak only market Lingala.
