Language use  Moderately vigorous. Some older Wagi [fad] may also use Nobonob. All domains. All ages. Positive attitude. Some also use Tok Pisin [tpi], Gedaged [gdd], Wagi, or Rempi [rmp]. Tok Pisin use increasing.
Language development  Literacy rate in L1: 16%. Literacy rate in L2: 25%–75%. 400 or fewer can read it, 200 to 400 can write it. Taught in primary schools. NT: 1990.
Writing system  Latin script.
Comments  SOV. Swidden agriculturalists; fish cannery workers.
