Region  Yezd and Kerman areas.
Alternate names   “Gabar” , “Gabri” , “Yazdi”
Dialects  Related to Parsi-Dari [prd], Nâyini [nyq].
Classification  Indo-European, Indo-Iranian, Iranian, Western, Northwestern, Central Iran
Language use  Used by Persian Zoroastrians in personal communications as a private language. Also use Western Farsi [pes].
Comments  Different from Dari dialect of Eastern Farsi [prs] of Afghanistan, though both come from Darius, the ancient Emperor, to whom they both relate (‘dar’ is Classical Persian for ‘court’). Many Zoroastrians speak Parsi-Dari and do not know Zoroastrian Dari [gbz]. Zoroastrian.
