Region  Guéra region, Bahr Signaka Department, Melfi Subprefecture, north of Lake Iro, northeast of Zan. Bon and Ibir villages.

Alternate names   Bon, Bon Goula, Bun, Gula Guera, Poun, Taataal
Dialects  Lexical similarity: 46% with Zan Gula [zna].
Classification  Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, North, Adamawa-Ubangi, Adamawa, Mbum-Day, Bua
Language use  Vigorous. Most also use Chadian Spoken Arabic [shu].
Comments  Bon Gula and Zan Gula are referred to together as ‘Gula Guera’. Traditional religion, Muslim.
