Dialects  Upper Yei, Lower Yei. Dialects are mutually inherently intelligible only with difficulty.

Language use  Home. Most also use Papuan Malay [pmy] and some Marind [mrz].
Comments  Different cultural group from Marind. Hunters; fishermen; agriculturalists. Christian, traditional religion.
