Population	63,000 (1999 SIL).
Region	West Province, Bamboutos Division, south Mbouda Subdivision, southeast of Mbouda. 5 villages, each a separate dialect.

Alternate names	Bamileke-Ngomba, Nda’a, Ndaa
Dialects	Bamendjinda, Bamenkumbo, Bamesso, Babete (Bamete), Bamendjo. Dialect speakers appear to understand each other well. Bamendjinda, Bamesso, and Bamenkumbo are most similar.
Classification	Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Wide Grassfields, Narrow Grassfields, Mbam-Nkam, Bamileke
Language use	All domains. Some also use French, Cameroon Pidgin [wes], Ngiemboon [nnh], or Medumba [byv].
Language development	Literacy rate in L2: 15%–25%.
Writing system	Latin script.
Comments	‘Nda’a’ is their name for themselves. Bafounda is a separate town and language (see Ghomálá’), but ethnically Nda’a. Different from Kwasio [nmg] in the Maka-Njem group.
