Region  South Omo region, upstream from Daasanach, riverside settlements near the Hamer-Banna.

Dialects  Dialect or closely related language to Hamer-Banna [amf]. More similar to the Hamer variety than to the Banna. Lexical similarity: 81% with Hamer-Banna.

Language use  Some also use Nyangatom [nnj].
Language development  Literacy rate in L2: 1.5%.
Comments  Different from Gula [kcm] of Sudan which is Central Sudanic. They have a service relationship with the Banna. SOV. Agriculturalists.
