Population  12,000 (1993 SIL).
Region  Orientale Province, Tshopo District, Bafwasende Territory, Barumi and Bekeni collectivités, Opienge, Banguruye, and Bangolu areas.
Language map  Northern Democratic Republic of Congo
Alternate names   Lumbi, Odyalombito, Rombi, Rumli
Dialects  Similar to Mangbetu [mdj], but not as close as Mangbetu dialects are to each other.
Classification  Nilo-Saharan, Central Sudanic, East, Mangbetu
Comments  Different than the Lombi dialect of Basa [bzw] in Cameroon.
