Language development  Literacy rate in L1: Below 1%. Literacy rate in L2: 5%–15%.
Comments  Their own name is ‘Lachik’, the Jingpho and Burmese name is ‘Lashi’, the Chinese name ‘Lachi’. SOV; final nasals and stops; vowel length and tense-lax contrasts; tonal, 4 tones.
