Dialects  Mazanderani, Gorgani. Related to Gilaki [glk]. Qadikolahi (Ghadikolahi) and Paliyan [pcf] may be dialects.
Classification  Indo-European, Indo-Iranian, Iranian, Western, Northwestern, Caspian
Language use  Home, market, work. Mainly adults. Positive attitude. Most also use Western Farsi [pes].
Language development  The educated can read Farsi [pes] well. Grammar.
Writing system  Arabic script.
Comments  Agriculturalists; fishermen. Muslim (Shi’a).
