Region  Sandaun Province, Amanab District, west of Namia. 6 villages. Kwomtari [kwo] is north, Abau south [aau], Busa [bhf] southwest, Biaka [bio] west, Anggor [agg] and Amanab [MN] northwest.

Language use  Vigorous. All domains. All ages. Positive attitude. Most younger men also use Tok Pisin [tpi].
Language development  Literacy rate in L1: 5%–15%. Literacy rate in L2: 15%–25%. Bible portions: 1997.
Writing system  Latin script.
Comments  ‘Nagatman’ is a corrupted name of 1 village, not a language name. There is some intermarriage with the Odiai, Abau, and Kwomtari. SOV. Hunter-gatherers; some cultivation: sugarcane, tobacco, sweet potatoes, taro. No cash crops. Christian, syncretism.
