Dialects  Similar to Lambya [lai], Malila [mgq].

Language development  NT: 1913–1966.
Writing system  Latin script.
Comments  Different from Nyika [nyf] (Kigiryama) of Kenya. Traditionally weavers, iron workers, hunters; swidden agriculturalists: millet; animal husbandry: cattle, goats, poultry.
