Dialects  This language stands midway between Nepali [nep] (Eastern Pahari) and Kumaoni [kfy] (Central Pahari). Sometimes considered a Kumaoni or Nepali dialect.

Language development  NT: 1827.
Writing system  Devanagari script.
Comments  There is also a dialect of Newar [new] called Pahari. The term literally means ‘of the hills’.
