Language use  Parents do not pass it on to children. Local administration, commerce, religious services. Mainly adults. Older people want to use Popoloca, but it has low prestige among younger people. Also use Spanish.
Language development  Literacy rate in L1: 1%–5%. Literacy rate in L2: 25%–50%. Bible portions: 1955–1980.
Writing system  Latin script.
Comments  People leave the area for schooling and jobs. SVO; long words, affixes; nontonal. Swidden agriculturalists.
