Region  Santa Catarina, Los Pocitos in Valle de la Trinidad, Estado Valle de la Trinidad, Rancho Aguascalientes or La Palmita; Baja California Norte, Ensenada, south of the Diegueño.

Alternate names   Akwa’ala
Classification  Hokan, Esselen-Yuman, Yuman, Pai
Language use  Shifting to Spanish. Kiliwa [klb] sample understood Paipai at 87%, but Paipai understood no Kiliwa.
