Region  Northern area of Loja Province in southern highlands. Large numbers now live in Zamora.

Dialects  Similar to CaƱar Highland Quichua [qxr].
Classification  Quechuan, Quechua II, B
A member of macrolanguage Quechua [que] (Peru).
Language use  Mainly older adults. Positive attitude.
Language development  Only standardized or Unified Quichua is taught formally.
Comments  SOV. Traditional religion, Christian.
