Dialects  Ibeto. A member of the Kambari language subgroup, which includes Cishingini [asg] and Tsikimba [kdl].

Language use  All ages. Also use Hausa [hau], English, or other Kambari languages.
Language development  Literacy rate in L1: Below 5%. Literacy rate in L2: 15%–20% Hausa. Grammar. Bible portions: 1933–2001.
Writing system  Latin script.
Comments  Called ‘Ashingini’. Area opened by large dam. Primarily rural. Christian, Muslim, traditional religion.
