Dialects  Related to Iraqw [irk], but not inherently intelligible. Also similar to Burunge [bds] and Gorowa [gow].
Classification  Afro-Asiatic, Cushitic, South
Language use  Vigorous in most areas. In mixed villages children tend to speak Langi [lag] among themselves. Some also use Langi.
Comments  Their name for themselves is ‘Alagwa’. Agriculturalists; animal husbandry. Muslim.
