| Dialects | Nasu, Nisu. The Nasu dialect of Northern Nisu is distinct from Nasu language continuum further north. Nasu users comprehend other varieties of Northern Nisu. |

| Language use | The language is active in areas with high concentrations of Nisu. However, there is increasing borrowing of lexical items from Chinese. Code switching between Nisu and Chinese is common. Many working age males and females spend at least part of the year working in the towns or cities that are predominantly inhabited by Chinese. Home, village, work. Mainly adults. Neutral attitude. Also use Chinese [cmn] or Eastern Nisu [nos]. |
