This material is a compilation of references in the Gospels in which it may be necessary, especially when translating for language groups unfamiliar with the Scriptures and the culture of New Testament times, to make explicit the information which the original writer assumed his audience would understand.

The goal of this book is simply to provide the implicit or assumed information that the author believes the original writer counted on his audience to supply--that which is part of the semantic decoding of the Greek text.
