Nate Cheeseman is a linguistic researcher based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He serves as the Research Unit Coordinator at the Linguistics Institute at Payap University and has been involved in minority language research for nineteen years. One of Nate’s passions over the past decade is to see that the world’s minority languages in Southeast Asia are well documented and described in the Ethnologue. In 2016 he attended an Ethnologue training event to help resource Ethnologue field contributors. Nate has published three journal articles on Austroasiatic language family sub-groups.
