Language Use
Shifting to Uri [uvh] and Tok Pisin [tpi] (Retsema et al 2009). Elderly only. Most also use Uri [uvh], especially adults (Retsema et al 2009). Many also use Tok Pisin [tpi], especially young people (Retsema et al 2009).
Language Development
Literacy is in Tok Pisin [tpi]; primary instruction in Uri [uvh].
