No known L1 speakers. Probably recently extinct (Wurm 2007); last known speakers probably survived into the first decade of the 2000s.

Western Australia state: Eyre’s Sand Patch, Goddard creek to Fraser range, Naretha, Point Culver, and Port Malcolm; Balladonia, Mount Andres, Norseman, and Russell range.

Language Development
Dictionary. Grammar. Texts. In 2012–2013, a research fellow from AIATSIS worked with Ngajumaya speakers and community members to develop language documentation material and assist with developing language learning programs for young people.
