8b (Nearly extinct). Language of registered tribe: Morongo Band of Cahuilla Mission Indians, San Manual Band of Serrano Mission Indians of the San Maual Reservation, Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians.

Language Development
Grammar. Active language program at San Miguel (Golla 2007). The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and Cal State San Bernardino worked out a deal to have a series of Serrano language courses taught at the university during the 2013–2014 academic year, taught by San Manuel’s Serrano Language Revitalization Project staff.
